Required information

These location information schemes require the following information:

  • The CRESTA location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code.
  • The Province location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid four-digit province code or Province name in the Area field.
  • The CRESTA Postal scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid four-digit postal code or postal name in the Postal field.

Applicable geocode match levels

Verisk Synergy Studio matches these sets of information at the following levels:

  • At a CRESTA centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and CRESTA (CRESTA location information scheme)
  • At an Area centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and province name or code. (Province location information scheme)
  • At a Postal centroid geocode match level if you supply the country name, a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid four-digit postal code or postal name. (CRESTA Postal location information scheme).
Note:

The Verisk Synergy Studio database contains many remapped state-level location records for the Philippines. Consequently, if you enter location data for the Philippines at a state (area) level, Verisk Synergy Studio matches this location data at a higher resolution level to meet model requirements, thereby providing the corresponding province (subarea-level) location data. In addition, if you supply a two-digit municipality code or corresponding municipality name, Verisk Synergy Studio transforms this data into the corresponding four-digit municipality code and municipality name. In this case, Verisk Synergy Studio maintains the same Postal Code centroid geocode matching level.
