Required information

These location information schemes require the following information:

  • The CRESTA location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code.
  • The Region S.A. Municipality scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid two-digit state code or state name in the Area field and a valid seven-digit municipality code or municipality name in the Subarea field.
  • The CRESTA S.A. Municipal scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid five-digit municipality code or municipality name in the Subarea field.

Applicable geocode match levels

Verisk Synergy Studio matches these sets of information at the following levels:

  • At a CRESTA centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and CRESTA (CRESTA location information scheme)
  • At a County centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, state (area), and municipality (subarea) (Region S.A. Municipality location information scheme)
  • At a County centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, CRESTA, and municipality (CRESTA S.A. Municipal location information scheme)
Note:

The Verisk Synergy Studio database contains many remapped state-level location records for Chile. Consequently, if you enter location data for Chile using the Region S.A. Municipality location information scheme, Verisk Synergy Studio transforms the state information in the Area field and the municipality information in the Subarea field into the corresponding CRESTA name and code and municipality name and code to meet model requirements, thereby matching at a CRESTA centroid geocode match level.
