- Non-Modeled CRESTA
Required information
These location information schemes require the following information:
- The Country scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code for the non-modeled country.
- The Non-Modeled CRESTA location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code for the non-modeled country.
Geocoding for non-modeled countries
Verisk Synergy Studio does not geocode non-modeled countries.
To find the non-modeled countries that Verisk Synergy Studio supports, as well as the CRESTAs that Verisk Synergy Studio supports for non-modeled countries, see the tGeography table in the Verisk Geography database. Refer to the Country-Data Look-up Table, which is available on the Client Portal, for a list of countries and their model statuses.
You can use the following SQL query to view a list of all countries that you can import:
SELECT
[CountryName]
, [CountryCode]
FROM [Geography].[dbo].[tGeography]
WHERE [AreaScheme] = '1006'
ORDER BY [CountryName]
You can use the following SQL query to view a list of unsupported CRESTA scheme paths. These scheme paths belong to a non-modeled country or to a modeled country where the CRESTA resolution is too coarse for modeling.
SELECT
[CountryName]
, [CountryCode]
, [CRESTACode]
, [CRESTAName]
FROM [Geography].[dbo].[tGeography]
WHERE [AreaScheme] = '9998'
ORDER BY [CountryName], [CRESTACode]
