Required information

These location information schemes require the following information:

  • The CRESTA location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code.
  • The Province scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid two-digit province code or province name in the Area field.
  • The Province District scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid province name or code in the Area field and a valid four-digit district code or district name in the Subarea field.
  • The CRESTA District scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid four-digit district code or district name in the Subarea field.
  • The CRESTA Postal scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid three-digit postal or municipality code or municipality name in the Postal field. Alternately, you can supply the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid five-digit postal code or postal name in the Postal field.

Applicable geocode match levels

Verisk Synergy Studio matches these sets of information at the following levels:

  • At a CRESTA centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and CRESTA (CRESTA location information scheme)
  • At a Province Code centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and Province (area) name or code (Province location information scheme)
  • At a District Code centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, Province (area) name or code, and District (subarea) (Province District location information scheme)
  • At a District Code centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, CRESTA, and District (subarea) (CRESTA District location information scheme)
  • At a Postal Code centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, CRESTA, and municipality name or code (CRESTA Postal location information scheme)
  • At a Postal Code centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, CRESTA, and postal name or code (Alternate CRESTA Postal location information scheme)
Note:

The Verisk Synergy Studio database contains many remapped province-level location records for Indonesia. Consequently, if you enter location data for Indonesia at a province (area) level, Verisk Synergy Studio matches this location data at a higher resolution level to meet model requirements, thereby providing the corresponding district (subarea-level) location data. In addition, if you supply a three-digit municipality code or corresponding municipality name, Verisk Synergy Studio transforms this data into the corresponding five-digit postal code and postal name. In this case, Verisk Synergy Studio maintains the same (postal) geocode matching level.
