Required information

These location information schemes require the following information:

  • The CRESTA location information scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code.
  • The Region S.A. Municipality scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid two-digit department code or department name in the Area field and a valid seven-digit municipality code or municipality name in the Subarea field.
  • The CRESTA S.A. Municipal scheme requires the country name, abbreviation, or code, as well as a valid CRESTA name or code and a valid five-digit municipality code or municipality name in the Subarea field.

Applicable geocode match levels

Verisk Synergy Studio matches these sets of information at the following levels:

  • At a CRESTA centroid geocode match level if you supply the country and CRESTA (CRESTA location information scheme)
  • At a County centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, department (area), and municipality (subarea) (Region S.A. Municipality location information scheme)
  • At a County centroid geocode match level if you supply the country, CRESTA, and municipality (CRESTA S.A. Municipal location information scheme)
Note:

The Verisk Synergy Studio database contains many remapped department-level location records for Colombia. Consequently, if you enter location data for Colombia using the Region S.A. Municipality location information scheme, Verisk Synergy Studio transforms the department information in the Area field and the municipality information in the Subarea field into the corresponding CRESTA name and code and municipality name and code to meet model requirements, thereby matching at a county centroid geocode match level.
