Matching Gulf of Mexico locations to the Industry Exposure Database

When you import a Gulf of Mexico location, Verisk Synergy Studio attempts to obtain a match for the location in the Industry Exposure Database.

Upon obtaining a match, Verisk Synergy Studio uses information from Verisk's detailed data set of platforms in the Gulf of Mexico to enhance and improve the quality of the exposure data that you have supplied for the location. Furthermore, if Verisk Synergy Studio obtains an exact match for a Gulf of Mexico location in the Industry Exposure Database, Verisk Synergy Studio back fills secondary modifiers for the platform and assigns the location a more accurate geocode.
