Demand surge factors
A demand surge adjustment factor represents the increase in building costs caused by an excess demand for resources such as materials and labor following a major catastrophic event.
The Demand Surge Factor applies to the industry loss amount for a single program. Demand Surge can be applied per occurrence or on aggregate (for U.S. only). Default demand surge factors are provided by Verisk; however, user-specified values can be entered to override default factors.
