  Demand Surge is the increase in prices for labor and materials following a catastrophe, as contractors take advantage of the increase in demand for repairs and replacement construction.

Aggregate exposure is the sum of exposures by group.

Aggregate exposures are used in the application's reinsurance platform.

Sums Insured	SI	Total limit across all coverages. Not applicable for Workers' Compensation contracts.
Number of Risks	NR	Risk count for property exposures; employee count for workers' compensation exposures.
Premiums	PR	Net written premium.
Rates	RT	Premium rate per million (required for premiums-based analyses outside of the U.S. and Canada). Pandemic exposures are entered as life counts.
Payroll	PY	Total payroll of employees with workers' compensation coverage.
Market Shares	MS	Percent market share allocations (can also be take-up rates).
Loss Market Shares	LM	Company losses generated from market share analysis on Verisk's ALERT event sets.
Custom LOB	CL	User-defined line of business (LOB) which captures sums insured exposures.
