  Demand Surge is the increase in prices for labor and materials following a catastrophe, as contractors take advantage of the increase in demand for repairs and replacement construction.

Aggregate loss

Aggregate loss is the loss resulting from all events that occurred during a specified period.

If the specified period is twelve months, then the aggregate loss is referred to as the annual aggregate loss.

An Aggregate Excess of Loss (AX) program indemnifies the ceding company for that portion of the loss that exceeds the limit of its own retention for a given year.
