Area code formatting
Validation of area-level data against supported formats.
For each area level (area, subarea, postal, etc.) in each supported country1, Verisk Synergy Studio allows one or more specific formats for each area code. In some cases, Verisk Synergy Studio attempts to alter the data that you have provided to match acceptable formats. For example, if a country has six-digit postal codes and supports leading zeros, and you have provided a five-digit value in the Postal field, Verisk Synergy Studio prepends a zero to the five-digit value that you have supplied to make this value fit the required six-digit format. If the area value does not match the formatting rules, Verisk Synergy Studio instead treats this value as an area (area, subarea, postal, etc.) name.
