Attach a database using the Data Source Manager

Steps to attach a database for Touchstone Re using the Data Source Manager.

Tools > Data Source Manager > Attach

Procedure

  1. From the Touchstone Re global menu, select Tools > Data Source Manager
  2. Click in the Database Name field of the blank row with the white Add icon.

    The field becomes editable.

  3. Enter the name of the database you wish to attach.
  4. Select the database type (RES for Result will be selected by default).
  5. Click in the MDF Path field, click the Browse for File or icon, and then navigate to the database server containing the database that you want to attach.
  6. Select the MDF file and then click Open.
  7. On the ribbon, click Attach and then press Enter.

    The database you attached moves to the next row.

  8. Click Refresh.
