View the list of databases

Steps to view the list of Touchstone Re databases.

Tools > Data Source Manager

The Data Source Manager window displays the list and number of databases on the SQL Server to which you are currently connected.

Procedure

Launch Touchstone Re.
Access the Data Source Manager (Tools menu).
The grid displays the following information about each database:
- Name
- Type
- Version
- Registration status: Registered databases are CEDE n.0 databases with which Touchstone Re can interact. There are two types: EXP (exposure databases) and RES (results databases). Unregistered databases are CEDE n.0 databases that have been attached but not registered and unknown types of databases.
- Size
- Status (online or unknown)
- Growth in megabytes
- MDF and LDF paths : Primary Data Files, which use the extension *.mdf, are database files installed with SQL Server or created by users. Log Data Files, which use the extension *.ldf, are SQL Server transaction log files.
