Convert EP to ULF: source setting

Steps to convert an EP file to a ULF file.

Tools > Convert EP to ULF: Source Setting.

Procedure

  1. From the global menu bar, select Tools > Convert EP to ULF.
  2. In the Convert EP to ULF dialog box Source Setting tab:
    1. If necessary, select a currency and currency units.

      Default settings are established in Currency rate settings.

    2. Select a current 10K World All Perils event set from the drop-down menu.
    3. Select a target curve type: aggregate or occurrence (default).
    4. Enter a unique Loss Set Name.

      This is required.

    5. To speed up export processing, increase the number of cores used; the defaults are 1 min and 1 max core.
    6. To apply demand surge, enable the toggle Loss Curves Reflect Demand Surge
    7. To export the converted file to a designated folder, enter a Destination Path; be sure to include a unique file name.
      • Include comments when appropriate.

      • Indicate geographic resolution: area or subarea.

    8. To import the converted file into a specific company, enable the Import to Company checkbox and then enter the company name.
      • If the company does not exist it will be created.

      • Select the Generate Loss Market Shares checkbox to generate loss market shares for the loss set.

      • To change the currency rate, make selections from the drop-down menus.

    9. Enable Close after conversion to close the dialog once the conversion is complete.
