Convert EP to ULF: create curves

Steps to create curves from the EP to ULF file conversion.

Tools > Convert EP to ULF: Create Curves.

Procedure

  1. In the Convert EP to ULF dialog box Create Curves tab:
    1. Upload the CSV file.

      The CSV file must follow these guidelines:

      • The first row must be a header row.

      • The first column must be EP (values from 0.0001 to 1.0) or RP points (values from 1 to 10000, integers only).

      • Columns 2-n are EP summary losses (integers or decimals)

      Note:

      Only the first 10 rows of the file are displayed, but all rows in the file (up to 10,000 points) are used for loss file generation.

    2. For each curve you must establish curve settings. Click to open the Curve Settings dialog and select the appropriate geography coverage (e.g. Applies to Areas) and peril(s) (not all perils are available here).
  2. Select Convert to initiate the conversion.
