Exposure data and format validation
Guidelines for India crop exposure import validation.
The content of the India exposure source file must follow these guidelines.
All content

All fields must be formatted as "text" regardless of content type.

The disaggregation process ignores: blank rows, case, spaces before and after data.
Header

The header row must be the first row following the currency specifications in the worksheet.

All header fields are mandatory; while disaggregation supports hidden columns, it does not support missing columns.

Column order and spelling are validated against the specifications in the Exposure Source File.
Include and exclude

State and district are validated against names in the area code database; refer to the Touchstone Re Database Reference on Verisk's Developer Zone.

Include

Field must contain valid data which must be one area area only (e.g. district).

When it contains a city name the Disaggregate field must be set to 1 (disaggregate).

Valid site names are listing in the posting Country Abbreviations on Client Portal.

Exclude
-
Field must contain areas at higher resolution than the Include field if disaggregation is enabled.

Supports semi-colons to list multiple areas.

May contain mixed-resolution entries (e.g. a city and a county).

May contain area that is two resolution levels away from the Include area.

May contain overlapping areas.

May contain a subset of the Include area.

Exposure
-
Only positive numeric values are valid.

At least one exposure field, relevant to the peril selected, must contain a value.
Disaggregate

Field must include either 0 (do not disaggregate) or 1 (disaggregate).

Field must be set to 1 (disaggregate) when Include field contains a city name.
