Use visualization to build program relationships

Steps to build program relationships in Touchstone Re.

Touchstone Re offers a feature to build program relationships using drag-and-drop. It is also very easy to change these relationships, to add new programs and assessments, and to edit program details. This interface is found in the Relationships tab of the Program pane (Companies > [Company] > Programs > Relationships).

Procedure

  1. Open Companies > [Company] or create a company.
  2. Open Companies > [Company] > Programs > [Program] or create a program.
  3. In the Program pane select the Relationships tab; your first program will display in the canvas.
  4. To establish a relationship with another program:
    1. Drag an existing program from the Available Program Templates panel onto the canvas, or drag a new program type from the New Programs panel onto the canvas.
    2. Drop the program onto another program to establish a relationship between the two.

      Enter relationship information into the Create Relationship dialog box:

      • Parent or child

      • Relationship (Source or inuring)

      • Inuring Flow (All Downstream Programs, Next Program Only)

      • Perspective (Company, contract, or net retained)

      • Participation (100%, Gross, Net, Part 3, Part 4)

  5. Click a program in the canvas to view and/or edit any relationships in the Relationship Properties Manager pane.
  6. Double-click any program to open the Edit Program Details pane and update any program details; be sure to click Save to save your changes.
  7. To remove a program click in the upper right corner of the program box, or select it and click Delete on the keyboard, or right mouse click and select Delete from the drop-down menu.
    Note:

    Child programs will be deleted along with a parent program.

  8. Click to save your changes.
