Quick introduction to the user interface

Touchstone Re user interface.

The Touchstone Re user interface is designed to be intuitive. Most activity happens in the Reinsurance pane (largest pane), which displays as the Home tab when the application is first opened. Use the collection of available tabs, panes, and drop-down menus to navigate through your work processes. Information on each of these elements are provided in the following topics.

Common Activities

Common activities include:

  • In the Reinsurance pane, click the Companies tab to view the list of existing companies. The list defaults to My Companies; for a full listing select All Companies.

  • In the Reinsurance pane, click the Portfolios tab to view the list of existing portfolios The list defaults to My Portfolios; for a full listing select All Portfolios.

  • Click to refresh the list.

  • Click the column header (e.g., Name, Type, Date) to change the order of the listing.

  • Select a filter in the row below the column header; filter selections will be appropriate to the column type; some columns include a drop-down menu, a , or a . When appropriate enter a value in the associated text box for the filter to act on.

  • Click in the first column header to bring up the Column chooser and manage which columns will display and in what order.

Common buttons

A suite of Common buttons enable you to perform various operations and are contextual, that is, a button appears only when it is relevant to the task or environment at hand.
