Touchstone(Re) service pack 13.1

Touchstone(Re) 13.1 introduces Verisk's new high-resolution model, the Verisk Inland Flood Model for Malaysia and Indonesia. The model estimates losses from inland flooding (on- and off-floodplain) caused by tropical cyclone (TC) and non-TC precipitation across Malaysia and Indonesia.

Touchstone Re 13.1 includes a new Malaysia Industry Exposure Database, an updated Indonesia Industry Exposure Database, and an updated Southeast Asia earthquake Industry Loss File (ILF). Indonesia earthquake loss records have been scaled to reflect the updated Industry Exposure Database.

This service pack includes the Future Projected Climate Catalogs for the Verisk Inland Flood Model for the UK and the Republic of Ireland and the Verisk Inland Flood Model for Malaysia and Indonesia.

Note: Disaggregation has changed for Australia and Indonesia in conjunction with the June 2025 updates to their Industry Exposure Databases. For Touchstone loss analyses in Australia/Indonesia using models not updated in 2025 (i.e., Indonesia earthquake and Australia tropical cyclone/severe thunderstorm/earthquake), loss results will be impacted when disaggregation is used.

Download and Installation Instructions

  1. Before you proceed:
    • Verify that Touchstone 2025 (13.0) is properly installed and working.
    • Verify there are no active jobs running in Activity Monitor.
  2. Use AIR's Download Manager to download and unzip the file TOUCHSTONE 13.1.
  3. Shut down all application processes including the IIS on the Application Server as well as all AIR Services mentioned below on the Analysis Management Server (HPC head node).
    • AIR Activity Status Manager Service
    • AIR Automation Agent
    • AIR Output Manager Service
    • AIR Core Push Notification Service
  4. Do not shut down AIR Core Version Service.
  5. In the Databases folder, run Setup.exe on each database (SQL) server; the InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation.
  6. In the Components folder, run Setup.exe,
      • On the Analysis Management Server (HPC head mode)
      • On each Analysis Server (HPC compute node)
      • On the Application Server (IIS)
      • On each Client (UI) installation

      The InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation.

  7. In the Model Data folder, run Setup.exe on one of the Analysis Servers (Compute node); the InstallShield Wizard will guide you through the installation.
  8. Reboot the Analysis servers (Compute Nodes) and Application server (IIS).
  9. If necessary, open the Touchstone application and update the new license in the License manager section of Admin console.
