AIR Terrorism Model

The AIR Terrorism Model includes support for aggregate modeling and has a few unique aspects that differentiate it from our traditional natural catastrophe models:

• 500k catalog (as opposed to 10k/50k) and corresponding annual distribution support.

• Ability in aggregate model to export a 500k DLF (drawn by down sampling every 50th year from a sorted annual distribution of the analysis results is exported from).

• Model specific event filtering to support contracts that cover or exclude different terror attack scenarios:

  • Domestic +/or international terror groups

  • Conventional or CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) attack types

  • CBRN Exclusions (Pollution and/or Bacterial & Virus)

  • Policies covered solely for Standard Fire Policies

This model supports both property and workers' compensation lines of business (LOB) and comes with is included as an additional peril in the aggregate industry database. Aggregate LOBs are same as U.S. earthquake (Residential, Mobile Home, Commercial, Auto, WC). Loss analyses are supported for market share and CLF based analyses.
