AIR Pandemic Model

The AIR Pandemic Model estimates the spread of these viruses and risk to health and life across the globe. The model captures mortality in age- and gender-specific cohorts for the following countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, U.K. and U.S.

Pandemic perils include all influenza, coronaviruses, filoviruses, Rift Valley and Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic fevers (both bunyaviruses), Lassa fever (arenavirus), cholera (Vibrio cholera), plague (Yersinia pestis), and meningococcal meningitis (Neisseria meningitides). These pandemics are widely credited with being the largest driver of excess mortality risk in the world.
