Global adjustment factors

Event-Based Adjustment Factors (EBAFs) use Global Adjustment Factors (also known as "GEBAFs") that are maintained in a CSV file. Each line in the file is a single record that represents a model/event pair. There must be data in each column in each record.

Area Code

Area code is from Verisk's Industry Loss File (ILF) with the prefix "A" attached to prevent Excel from reformatting; see the Verisk-supplied document Damage Factor File Area Codes Excel spreadsheet on the Client Portal.

LOB Schema

Factor

Each LOB is assigned a factor of "1" by default, a neutral factor that will not change losses. (A factor of 1.1 scales losses up by 10%, while a factor of 0.9 scales losses down by 10%.) Factors may have a precision of four decimals. If a factor is equal to zero, the losses for this event are to be nulled, or not considered
