About zone sets

Before creating or modifying a zone set, consider the following information:

Postal-level resolution

Where applicable, in Touchstone only, you can create zones with geographic areas up to postal-level resolution. In Touchstone Re, zip (postal) codes are not available for inclusion in a zone set at this time; they appear in the common user interface because users can create zones in Touchstone Re and share them to Touchstone business units, and vice-versa.

Overlapping zones

If you select overlapping zones during a loss analysis configuration, Touchstone Re double counts the loss results only if you configure the analysis to calculate total losses across zones.

India Crop

India has a secondary country choice "India Crop" which is used exclusively for the India crop model.

Non-modeled countries

Touchstone Re's Advanced Loss Modification (ALM) feature is used with some non-modeled countries: Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa. For those countries, "(TS Re)" appears to the right of the CRESTA or Province item in the CRESTA/Province column. Some ALM countries have different CRESTA information in Touchstone Re than in Touchstone.
