Programs
A program is integral to a company and it's exposure data in Touchstone Re.
Program details
Program Details at the top of the Program pane defines the program through a collection of attributes.

The Applies To Events feature allows you to manage which events should be considered in a contract analysis based on an event parameter, peril, location and/or condition.

Companies are associated with exposure data.
Programs
A program is integral to a company and it's exposure data in Touchstone Re.
- Programs
  Programs are defined by attributes such as program type, inception and expiration dates, perils and programs covered.

- Inuring program
  An inuring program (child) is associated with a subject reinsurance program (parent) to help reduce the amount of cedant loss, it reflects a contract that inures to the benefit of the subject program.

  Contracts inure in series or in parallel (not both).

  - Program terms
    Select Terms in the Company Detail Programs tab to enter treat terms for a program.
    - Applies to areas
      Use the Applies to Areas feature to define a specific geographic region, area, and subarea that a program or layer will apply to.
    - Applies to events
      The Applies To Events feature allows you to manage which events should be considered in a contract analysis based on an event parameter, peril, location and/or condition.

        Applies to Events defines one or more specific event rules and conditions that a program or layer will comply with.
      - Establish event rules filter
        Use the tools on the Rules tab to create events for the event filter.
      - Establish event geography filter
        Select the Geography tab to create events for the event filter.
    - Filter perils - China MPCI (Agriculture)
      By default, all perils associated with the China Agriculture model are reflected in Touchstone Re loss estimates unless filtered out at the program level.
  - Layers
    Establish layers, step-layers, and treaty terms for a new program (or to modify for an existing program).
  - Reinstatement premiums
    To account for the offset of treaty losses by premiums a field for the entry of reinsurance premiums is now available from the Program Details pane Layer tab for each treaty or layer in all program types (except Catbond).
  - Program options
    Steps to establish program options for a new program, or modify an existing program.
  - Relationships
    A reinsurance structure is a collection of programs associated with a company.
- Exceedance probability
  A set of probabilities and return periods that appear in loss analysis results.
- Update a program

Portfolios
A portfolio is a group of treaties selected from across companies.
Import
Import exposure data from external sources into Verisk databases.

Analysis
An analysis in Touchstone Re is a probabilistic analysis of your aggregated loss or exposure data.

Applies to events

Applies to Events defines one or more specific event rules and conditions that a program or layer will comply with.

Before You Begin

Companies > [Company] > Programs > [Program] > Layers > Terms: Applies to Events
Companies > [Company] > Programs > [Cat Bond Program] > Layers > Parametric Triggers

Procedure

In the program layer, click associated with the Applies to Events cell.
In the Applies to Events dialog box:
- To add a filter, click .
  
  Repeat this step to add additional filters.
- To change the filter name, overwrite the default name in the Name field.
- To establish one or more events for this filter, use the tools on the Rules or Geography tab.
- To delete a filter, select the filter from the Event Filters list and click (at the top of the Event Filters list).
- To apply this filter definition to all layers in the current program, enable the check box in the lower left corner of the dialog box.
Click OK to exit.
