Touchstone Re default rates

Touchstone Re uses user-specified default rates, where available, when there are no company exposure rates for a given region, peril, and year.

Admin > Administration Console > Global Defaults > Touchstone Re Default Rates

It uses Verisk-specified default rates, where available, when there are no user-specified default rates or company exposure rates for a given region, peril, and year.

For countries with China MPCI, U.S./Canada Crop Hail, and Pandemic exposures, the grid will be pre-populated with rates provided by Verisk Research; the user will be able to edit for a specific set of exposures.

Rate format defaults to "mil" for all perils; exceptions include Pandemic (per life) and China MPCI (premium rates).

Open the United States selection to view by state. States associated with a also include county-level data.

Procedure

To specify default rates:

Click the country name.
To filter the exposures for which you want to set the default rates, select the year and the peril.
In the grid, enter the default rates.
Click Save.

Results

Default rates are applied in the Exposures pane on the Rate tab, when applicable.
