Assessment

An assessment is a fee imposed on members of an insurance association for certain qualifying events by agencies, such as the Florida Commission (FLCM) on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology, the California Earthquake Authority (CEA), the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA), and the South Carolina Wind and Hail Underwriting Association (SCWHUA).
