What's New 8.0

This release of Touchstone Re expands on CATRADER functionality and adds some new features and new models.

Models

This release of Touchstone Re includes a full suite of AIR models, some new models to AIR and to Touchstone Re, and some model updates. For a detailed overview of the model updates in this release, refer to the Touchstone Re Release Notes.

Software Enhancements

Highlights include:

  • New copy tools

  • Aggregate IED to Database is a new export feature that allows users to create a new database table containing the most up-to-date aggregate insurable exposure for the country(ies) selected.

  • Multi-Program Analysis to run analysis on more than one program without building a portfolio.

  • Reinstatement Premiums and Final Net Loss. Users can now account for the offset of treaty losses by premiums in this multi-part enhancement.

    • Reinstatement premiums with (or without) provisions can be assigned to each treaty or layer in all program types (except Catbond).

    • Two new loss perspectives are available in the Results dashboard and are included in export when appropriate:

      • Final Net loss: Accounts for the reinstatement premiums paid on an event basis.

      • Net of Premium: Provides a look at loss offset by both the initial reinsurance premium and any reinstatement premiums that may have been paid at the annual level.

  • Event set filter option for program and portfolio analysis

  • The Save Program Relationship Layout feature allows users to save program relationships and their layout and retain them during company import, export, or copy.

  • Company Loss Set Cleanup tool for cleaning up loss sets in centralized location.

  • convert to Binary ULF tool for converting loss files to binary format from within the application.

  • Upload Loss to Analyze ReAnalyze Re: Users are now be able to search their results in Analyze Re using Touchstone Re analysis name after they have been uploaded using Upload Loss to Analyze Re feature. To search results based on analysis name in Analyze Re type in the analysis name in the Search Loss set dialog’s search field.

  • The Companies pane now refreshes automatically when a company is imported or updates are made to an existing company.

  • Support for AM Best Premiums data.

  • Support for Alternate Geogrpahy: Support aggregate exposure entry for users who may receive exposure data in a format that is not natively supported by Touchstone Re.

  • CLF/CLA file upgrade: Enhancements have been included in the application installation/upgrade process and in Touchstone Re's Import tool to upgrade CLF and CLA files from CATRADER and older versions of Touchstone Re to the latest version of Touchstone Re.

  • China MPCI offers support for additional Lines of Business (additional crops, new livestock categories), extended program coverage rates, and for additional event filters (heat, livestock weather, livestock disease). These new additions show up in the the user interface in a number of places include the Exposure Set pane, the Adjustment Factors pane, the Program Options pane China MPCI Program Coverage Rates dialog box, the Applies to Events dialog box, and the Touchstone Re Default Rates pane. Exposure values for China MPCI areas can now be distributed down to subarea using the Distribute Value Down tool .

  • India MPCI enhancements include support India Crop now includes support for:

    • Import and export UNICEDE/2 files for India (all perils) and India Crop Sums Insured and Market Share exposures.

    • India Crop (country) exposures support for CLF and DLF import.
