Companies

Export one or more companies.

Before You Begin

You can export a company or set of companies that you previously created in Touchstone Re.

Export > Companies

When you export companies, Touchstone Re generates an export package in the destination folder that you specify. The export package includes:

  • A metadata file (.cmp) in XML format that specifies the companies included in the export, program information, the location of the exposure data associated with each company, and the package folder structure

  • Exposures in database format

  • Company loss files

  • Detailed loss files

  • Company loss associations in database format

  • A log file

Procedure

To export one or more companies:

  1. Select one or more companies from the list. You can enter a partial name into the Company Name text box or use filter operators in other columns to quickly identify a company when the list of companies is long.
  2. Enter (or browse ) the destination for the exported files. You must specify the destination in network (UNC) format.
  3. Enter a name for the resulting folder.
  4. Optionally, select Close on Export to close the dialog once the export is complete.
  5. Click Export.

    Alternatively, in the Companies list, select one or more companies, right-click, and then select Export Companies.
