CLF loss market share for enhanced ALERT analysis

The Loss Market Share feature allows clients to use CLF files as a basis to calculate losses for an Verisk-supplied ALERT event sets to better estimate potential losses.

Loss market shares (LMS) are calculated in conjunction with Verisk-supplied ALERT events by dividing a company's stochastic losses across all events by the industry insurable losses across all events (by peril, area or subarea, and LOB). This calculation is optional when a CLF, DLF or ULF is installed through import and can also be conducted for any existing loss files using the option in Company Loss Set Manager.

Loss market share calculation can be set to automatically be enabled/disabled during CLF Import with the Loss market Shares check box in Touchstone Re Defaults.

Note:

Loss Market Share calculation is supported for CLF/DLFs that have a corresponding ILF for the same model and version in the current or archive World All Perils event sets.
