You can import exposure data, map layers, projects, and reinsurance packages from external sources into Touchstone databases.
About importing exposure data
You import exposure data into a Touchstone exposure database and into an exposure set.

Import data from external sources
You can import exposure data, map layers, projects, and reinsurance packages from external sources into Touchstone databases.

The most effective way to assess and enhance portfolio-level or contract-level catastrophe exposure data is to use Touchstone's Data Quality diagnostics. These diagnostics enable you to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the exposure data you are using for analyses and supplement that data when it is missing or weak.

The tab contains the following fields and areas:


Field	Description
Scan	Scan each import file for unrecognized values that Touchstone does not recognize.
Unrecognized values	This field displays the total number of values in the import file that Touchstone does not recognize.
Unrecognized values grid	In this grid, map each unrecognized value in the source import file to valid Touchstone values for a successful data import.
Source	This field displays the source import file fields that contain custom, user-defined values that you can map to valid Touchstone fields.
Value	This field displays the current unrecognized values in the source import file.
Mapping	In this column, select the Touchstone value to which you want to map the custom, user-defined value.
