About importing exposure data
You import exposure data into a Touchstone exposure database and into an exposure set.
The Comma Separated Values (CSV) option allows you to import exposure data that includes contract, location, and reinsurance data created in .csv files. Contract data includes policies, layers, and sublimits, and, for primary property Japan exposures only, step functions.
The Open Exposure Data
(OED) option allows you to import exposure data that includes account,
location, and reinsurance data created in .csv files. Account
data includes policies and accounts in the import portfolios. The
reinsinfo file contains details about the reinsurance
contracts that are associated with the underlying portfolios, accounts, and
locations. The reinscope file contains information about: the
scope of the reinsurance contract (which portfolios, accounts, and locations are
covered by a particular reinsurance contract); the risk level of the reinsurance
contract; and the ceded percent for a surplus share treaty (which can vary for
each risk covered by the treaty.)
Note: OED Import does not currently
support workers' compensation or step functions.
Import supports the following files:
- Comma-separated values (.csv) files
- OED data (.csv) files
- EDM format
