Compare Exposure Data by Year

Touchstone Re allows for exposure in different years. The year exposure is entered reflects the Industry Exposure Database that the Market Share calculation is based on; AIR regularly updates each Industry Exposure Database for a given model and region. This allows for a year on year comparison of the changes in industry exposure.

Procedure

To compare changes in industry exposure from one year to another:

  1. Open the company Exposure Set pane (Companies > [Company] > Company Data > Exposure Sets).
  2. Import UNICEDE/2 data (Import > Exposure > UNICEDE/2); be sure to select exposure year.

    You can also enter data directly into the Exposure pane.

  3. In the Exposure Set pane, filter by exposure year and peril.

    Touchstone Re allows for 5 years of industry exposure change.

  4. Open Program > Program Options:
    1. Select an exposure set.
    2. Select exposure year.
  5. Click .
  6. In the Analysis Settings pane, disable Use latest Industry Exposure Database, otherwise the most current Industry Exposure Database will be used during analysis.
  7. Click Run.

Next Steps

Repeat the steps for another exposure year and compare results.
