Starting event #

In Touchstone Re, a starting event number is an integer value that indicates at which event during the year the layer terms are to become effective.

The starting event # provides the capability to analyze Nth Event Covers. Only events that could potentially produce reinsurer losses are counted toward the Starting Event #.
