Projects are a useful way to organize your data. They contain exposure views that contain the data that you want to focus on.

Using Touchstone online Help
You can access the top-level or context-sensitive Touchstone online help from within the application or from the Client Portal. You can then search for content, bookmark pages, and generate output to other formats.

Projects and exposure views
Projects are a useful way to organize your data. They contain exposure views that contain the data that you want to focus on.
- Working with projects
  The Projects pane on the Touchstone Home page lists the projects that you and other users in your business unit are working on.
- Working with exposure views
  In a project, you add exposure views to gather the exposure data that you want to focus on.
  - Add exposure views to a project
    In a project, you can add one or more exposure views to identify the data that you want to focus on.
  - Open an exposure view
    You can open an exposure view from either the Exposure Summary Dashboard or the Contract List. The dashboard provides a visual overview of your exposure data and enables you to run analyses.
  - Modify an exposure view
    There are many reasons for modifying exposure views.

    Define rules for adding and removing perils in an exposure view or in a contract.

    You can create an empty exposure set without using ImportExpress. You associate the new exposure set with an exposure view and can then manually add exposure data to the exposure set.

    Deleting an exposure set, Touchstone marks the exposure data—contracts and locations—in the exposure set for deletion and the data becomes inaccessible.

    You can view a graphical report that enables you to quickly assess the strengths and weaknesses of your exposure data.

    On the Exposure Summary Dashboard, you can view an exposure map with map tools that allow you to perform various mapping functions.

    The bar chart displays the percent of the total replacement value for each of the occupancy categories, enabling you to validate occupancy based on the business that you are writing.

    The bar chart displays the number of contracts by limit type, enabling you to validate that you have the correct number and type of limits in your exposure data.

    The bar chart in the results grid displays the number of contracts by reinsurance type, enabling you to validate the correct number and type of reinsurance treaties in your exposure data.

- About the Contract List pane
  In the exposure view grid, click Contract List to view the list of contracts.
- Open the contract list
  Open the contract list to view the details of each contract included in an exposure view.
- Filter the contract list
  You can apply temporary filters to a contract list using contract-level and location-level attributes.
- Add contracts to an exposure view
  You can add contracts to an exposure view by entering the contract details in the user interface or by copying and pasting the contract details from a spreadsheet.
- Add sublimits to a layer
  You can add sublimits to a layer and create sublimit areas.
- About the Contract Details pane
  The Contract Details pane provides information about the line of business, the policy form, the name of the producer, and the current selected currency.
- Open contract details
  Open the Contract Details pane to view the details of each contract that is included in an exposure view.
- Add locations to a contract
  Add locations to a contract by entering location details in the user interface or by copying and pasting location details from a spreadsheet.
- About the Location Record pane
  The Location Record pane provides summary information about the location, and allows you to view, add, and delete location terms and reinsurance treaties.
- Add layers to a contract
  You can add one or more layers to a contract.
- Delete contracts
  Deleting contracts removes them from the contract list and from associated databases.
- Copy and move contracts and locations
  You can copy and move contracts and locations.
- Re-geocode exposure data
  To ensure that analyses uses more accurate location data, we strongly recommend that you geocode all exposure data before running analyses.
Geospatial analysis
Geospatial analysis enables you to perform a deterministic risk analysis with your own view of risk on accumulations of property exposures and workers' compensation information in given areas exposed to natural and man-made catastrophes.

Data Quality analysis
The most effective way to assess and enhance portfolio-level or contract-level catastrophe exposure data is to use Touchstone's Data Quality diagnostics. These diagnostics enable you to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the exposure data you are using for analyses and supplement that data when it is missing or weak.
Hazard analysis
Hazard analysis enable you to identify the relevant catastrophe hazards for locations in your exposure data.

Distribution of replacement value by coverage type

The bar chart displays the percent of the total replacement value for each of the four coverage types.

Move the pointer over a bar to display the name of the coverage type.

To display detailed results for this view, click Show in Window in the Coverage Type window.


Column	Description
Coverage Code	Numeric code for the type of coverage.
Coverage	The type of coverage—Buildings, Other Structures, Contents, and Time Element.
Location Count	Number of locations in the corresponding category.
% Locations Count	Number of locations in the corresponding category, expressed as a percent of all the locations.
$ Total Replacement Value	Total replacement value (all coverages combined) of all locations in the corresponding category.
% Total Replacement Value	Total replacement value (all coverages combined) per category, expressed as a percent of the total replacement value.
$ Average Replacement Value	Average replacement value of all locations in the corresponding category.
$ Minimum Replacement Value	Lowest replacement value of all locations in the corresponding category.
$ Maximum Replacement Value	Highest replacement value of all locations in the corresponding category.
Total Premium	Combined premiums of all locations in the corresponding category.
$ Total Limits	Total replacement value limits of all locations in the corresponding category.
Total Risk Count	Total number of risks in the corresponding category. May differ from the Location Count value if any of your location records represent aggregate data.
$ Total Deductibles	Combined deductibles of all locations in the corresponding coverage.
