What's new
The Verisk Synergy Studio Exposure Data Validation Reference includes support for updated models and enhancements.
Secondary risk characteristics (SRCs) are features of a building and its environment that have a significant impact on the building’s vulnerability to damage during an event. The SRCs are important contributing factors to losses sustained by residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
The first release of Verisk Synergy Studio includes an expanded suite of SRCs for the Verisk Tropical Cyclone Model for the United States to better capture the risks associated with individual exposure attributes within existing SRC fields. See New secondary risk characteristics in Verisk Tropical Cyclone Model for the United States.
Verisk Synergy Studio individual risk methodology follows a structured, logical approach that groups building characteristics (SRCs) that are supported in a specific model, refer to the "Secondary Risk Characteristics Matrix"—https://risksolutions.verisk.com/models/landing-pages/secondary-risk-characteristics/—which is available on the landing page on the Client Portal. This landing page includes peril-specific secondary risk characteristic (SRC) documentation that serves as a guide to the SRCs used in the models.
