Touchstone(Re) 13.1
Information about Touchstone(Re) 13.1 released October 2025.
New model: Verisk Inland Flood Model for Malaysia and Indonesia
This release introduces Verisk's new high resolution inland flood model for Malaysia and Indonesia. This new model estimates losses from inland flooding (on- and off-floodplain) caused by tropical cyclone (TC) and non-TC precipitation across Malaysia and Indonesia providing more details for these countries than the existing Southeast Asia Inland Flood model. We want to make sure you are aware that in conjunction with June 2025 updates to the Indonesia Industry Exposure Database (for new Malaysia/Indonesia flood model) and Australia (for updated bushfire model), disaggregation will be changing for those countries. For Touchstone loss analyses involving models in those countries that are not being updated (i.e. Indonesia EQ and Australia TC-ST-EQ) loss results will be impacted when disaggregation is used. We have the new Malaysia Industry Exposure Database and updated Indonesia Industry Exposure Database in Touchstone Re and an updated SE Asia EQ ILF with Indonesia loss records scaled to reflect the update in the Indonesia Industry Exposure Database. .
For further details about this new model as well as other features and enhancements included in this release, refer to the Touchstone 2025 (13.1) Release Documentation page on the Client Portal.

Log files
There has been a change to the handling of these files. Microsoft dropped support of Wordpad with Windows 11 version 24H2. Log files in Touchstone(Re) now open in Notepad for any file 800 MB or less; this is the default. For file sizes over 800 MB the following configuration file(s) on the application server must be updated to assign an editor that will handle large file sizes.
Touchstone.exe.config
Touchstone Re.exe.config
Here is an example of what the entry for identifying Notepad++ (other editors can be substituted) should look like:
<add key="LogEditor" value="C:\Program Files\Notepad++\Notepad++.exe" />
If you wish to override the default entry for Notepad, add the following with a new value (example here is for 500 MB) to one or both configuration files (noted above):
<add key="MaxNotepadLimit" value="500" />
