Import Company Loss File

To import a set of company loss files:

Procedure

  1. Use one of the preceding navigation paths to launch AIR ImportExpress.

    The default import type is "Company Loss File (CLF)".

  2. On the Import Data tab:
    1. Click (icon) to browse to the location of the target input file, select the file (the extension is .EVI), and then click Open.
    2. In the CLF Set Name field, leave the default name or enter a name, up to 255 characters.
    3. In the Company Name list, select the company to associate with the imported input file or create a new company by entering a name in the field.
    4. In the Type > Expand/Generate area:
      1. Optionally, if option is available, select Generate Loss Market Shares to calculate loss market shares for all models in the associated loss file.

      2. Optionally, if option is available, select Expand Multi-Year Analysis to expand scenarios covering single-year iterations to run against a multi-year event set.

  3. Optionally, clear the Close after Import check box if you want to continue importing files.
  4. Select the Details tab to view information associated with the CLF.
  5. Click Import.

    If a warning message appears, click it for information.

    When the import is complete, it opens in the Company Loss Set Manager pane for the company with which it is associated.

  6. If applicable, click Close to exit AIR ImportExpress.
