Setting Terrorism Options |
To define the types of terrorism coverage and attacks that you want to consider in a catastrophe peril analysis, you must first select an event set that includes potential terrorism events, such as the 500K US Terrorism (2011) - Standard event set, or a custom terrorism event set that an administrator has created. When you select a terrorism event set, the Terrorism peril check box becomes available.
Although Touchstone probabilistic loss analyses are supported for only the United States at the present time, you can run loss analyses due to terrorism at international locations by creating a custom deterministic event set.
To configure the type of terrorism coverage (weapon type and any exclusions):
1. Create a new catastrophe peril analysis.
2. In the Analysis
Settings pane, click
next to the Terrorism
check box.
3. In the Terrorism dialog box, select one of the following options:
• Terrorism Covered: If you choose to include terrorism coverage, select or clear the desired types of terrorism coverage and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) exclusions.
|
Domestic and International refer to the origin of the terrorist organization that carries out the attack, not to the location of the attack. |
• Terrorism Not Covered: In this case, coverage is provided solely by Standard Fire Policies (SFP).
4. Click OK.
